Thank You, Volunteers!

Thank You to Senior Center Volunteers!

Volunteers are the heart of the Senior Center. It is through their dedication and hard work that helps Broomfield Senior Center be as fantastic as it is!

THANK YOU Vera Roda!

Vera was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. A BA economics-Political Science & ROTC graduate from the University of the Philippines and a member of the U.P. Vanguard Fraternity. She worked as a flight attendant for Saudi Arabian Airlines and met

her husband Greg in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

They travelled all over the US and overseas, lived in Singapore, moved to Eden Prairie, MN and finally settled in 2005 in

Broomfield with their three daughters Gavriel, Galen, and Grae. She looks forward to Tuesday’s delivering Meals on Wheels,

volunteering whenever needed at Peak to Peak Charter School, Growing Home and as a Eucharistic minister for the Nativity of

Our Lord Catholic Church. Broomfield Senior Services appreciates all that Vera does.

She is a past board member of the Broomfield Community Foundation and currently with the Senior Resources of Broomfield

(SRB) where she helped write and secure grants for the Caregiver Respite and Special Needs Programs of the Senior Services.

She does yoga and enjoys the outdoors, whether hiking with friends or walking the dogs, scuba diving, shooting, camping,

hunting or fishing, exploring different places for vacation or just catching the wind in the back of Greg’s Kawasaki Concourse motorcycle.

You truly make a difference!
