Earth Day Lantern Parade

Thank You!

The Broomfield’s Public Art Committee (PAC) would like to thank each and every one of you for participating in Broomfield’s Lantern Making Workshops and Earth Day Lantern Parade. We were invigorated by all the creativity coming out of the four Lantern Making Workshops and Friday’s Lantern Parade was truly a wonderfully, joyful experience. We are beyond thrilled by how many people participated! None of this could have been such a wonderful experience without your involvement. Thank you.

As you may know, this was Broomfield’s First Annual Lantern Parade. The learning curve is high as we navigate through this new experience and we are open to suggestions. Since you all are an integral part of this experience, we decided that it was crucial that we ask for your advise on how to make next year’s Lantern Making and Lantern Parade experience even better. We would greatly appreciate you taking some time to fill out this survey. You can also email Broomfield’s City Council at with any comments. They too would love to hear about your Lantern Making and Lantern Parade experience.

Some of you asked t

o know more about the place where we bought the recycled art materials. As it was mentioned during the workshops, a large bulk of the materials were purchased at a recycled art materials store in Boulder called, Art Parts Creative Reuse Center. For those interested in know more about the drummers, they came from a Boulder organization called, The BaoBao Foundation. Please feel free to post any of your photos or comments on Creative Broomfield’s FaceBook page. Photos of the lantern making workshops and parade will be posted on this page. Creative Broomfield page is also a great place to find out about future PAC events.
Thank you again,
