Environmental Services - Environmental Services provides Laboratory Services for the Water Treatment and Wastewater Facilities,
continues to monitor Rocky Flats activities, manages the Broomfield Recycling Center and Broomfield’s in-house
recycling program, plans and provides annual events for the Spring Cleanup and semi-annual events for
the Household Hazardous
Waste Collection Program, and provides support to the County Public Health Department on environmental health issues.

Wastewater Division - Consists of Treatment, Water Reuse
Treatment, Biosolids Reuse program, Stormwater, and Industrial Pretreatment program; treats domestic,
industrial, and commercial sewage and other wastewater to acceptable quality prior to discharge; operates and
maintains a 12-MGD biological nutrient removal activated sludge treatment facility and a 6-MGD reuse water
treatment facility; monitors industrial discharges into the wastewater system to enforce local, state, and

Water Supply and Treatment Division -
Purchases and leases raw water; develops raw water infrastructures such as reservoirs, pipelines and
pump stations; is responsible for the delivery of raw water from Carter Lake to Glasser Reservoir to the
treatment plant; administers the delivery of treated water to the City's water storage tanks and end users; operates
a 20-million-gallon-per-day (MGD) water treatment plant and a 12-MGD reuse treatment facility; monitors and operates

- Is responsible for approx. 4,600 acres of park, traffic islands and parkways, and open space areas;
maintains turf and landscaped areas; operates irrigation systems; maintains ball fields, playground

Streets Division - Is responsible for over 200 miles of roadway, including maintenance and
repair; snow and ice control; traffic control (signing, painting, and signal maintenance); street cleaning; street

Utilities Division - Maintains and repairs over 300 miles of water
mains; inspects and services 3,000 fire hydrants; maintains four water booster stations, one chlorine station,
