Building
construction permit fees are based upon construction value. The value should
include all materials, labor, contractor overhead and profit (essentially
replacement cost for the building or structure). Separate fees are calculated
for each of the trades: general, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and
fire protection. A plan review fee is charged for commercial projects and
new single family homes, calculated at 65% of the general building permit fee
that shall be paid at the time of permit issuance.
Depending on the scope of the project, separate plan review fees for electrical,
plumbing and mechanical plans may be assessed in the same manner (65% of the
electrical, plumbing, or mechanical permit fee calculated above).
Use Tax and SEF are also collected, see page 2 of the
fee schedule.
Water and Sewer
License Fees (Tap Fees)
Water and sewer license fees are determined based on the
anticipated annual water usage. Separate fees are charged for the actual
tap and for the meter. Please see page 3 of the
fee
schedule.
