  1. Children - Family Early Literacy Time

    February 25, 2017, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM @ Children's Library Story Room

    Families of all ages welcome, but the focus will be newborns to Pre-K. Stories, books, fingerplays & songs will focus on an early literacy skill, followed by a fun craft. Families will have the opportunity to practice activities they can use at home to learn early literacy skills needed for children to become successful learners in school. Please pick up a free ticket at the Children's Desk the morning of the program.

  4. Children - Toddler Story Time

    Toddlers actively participate in stories, music and movement enhancing their social, emotional and language development while fostering a love for reading and books. Caregivers will be introduced to early literacy skills they can practice with their children to prepare them for successful learning when they enter school. It is a 30 minute program for children 21 to 35 months and a caregiver. Toddler time is presented 4 times a week. Mondays: 10-10:30 a.m. and repeated at 10:45-11:15 a.m. or Wednesday: 9:15-9:45 a.m. and repeated at 10-10:30 a.m. NEW - registration is no longer required! Pick up a free ticket and name tag at the Children's Desk the morning of the program.

    A fun and interactive Story Time for children 3 - 5 years old who can sit on their own. Preschoolers enjoy stories and songs that develop early literacy skills and foster curiosity. Asking children to attend without their caregivers helps to develop a sense of independence that will be needed as they start school. No registration required. Tuesdays, 10:30-11 a.m. And repeated on Thursdays, 1:30-2 p.m. Pick up a ticket and name tag at the Children's Desk beginning a half hour before each story time.

  7. Children - Art Stop on the Go

    The Children's Library and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art have teamed up to bring you several art-making workshops. Express yourself through a variety of art media, with the emphasis on creativity and fun! One Tuesday a month: February 28, March 28, April 25 and May 23. Registration is required for each workshop and opens on the 1st of each month. Register online or call the Children's Library.
