Community Development

The Department of Community Development provides one-stop services for all planning, engineering, and building activity in the City. Services provided include enforcement of building codes, issuing of building permits, zoning regulations, and construction standards. The department is also responsible for traffic engineering, current and long-range planning, geographic information systems, mapping, code compliance and administration of the City’s capital improvements program.
