Elected by Ward for a 4-year term. Current term ends November, 2009.

Broomfield resident since 2001. I grew up in northeast Colorado Springs in an area much like Broomfield.

Married to Nicole; we have two beautiful little kids -- preschool age -- who attend classes at the recreation center and library.

Education: B.S. in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University, M.B.A. from the University of Colorado at Denver, and D.C. from Texas Chiropractic College.

Occupation: I enjoy being a parent, husband and councilmember.  A chiropractor, I’ve been the owner of FIT Chiropractic in Broomfield since 2000

In my spare time, I enjoy being with family, going to the recreation center, biking, hiking, skiing, reading, traveling and going to the farm where we have a milk cow. I also enjoy Colorado, learning, listening… and living.

Community Participation:  Through my business, I enjoy sponsoring youth sporting events and any other community events I hear about.

Philosophy of local government: I prefer government to be as minimally invasive as possible.  Laws are meant to protect the weak and innocent.  If we were all equal and fair, we would not need laws; unfortunately we are not.

Government costs time and money, if we have too much there is a cost, or too little there is a cost.  I believe Broomfield tries hard to be a balanced community.

Our small town feel is very important to me. Preserving as much of why we all live in Broomfield and planning for the future in which our children will live should be a priority.  Community participation by all groups is a must for local government to function optimally.  It is imperative that the newer generations participate and care about the history of our community so we can all enjoy the future.  This is why I decided to serve on council: to show that it is possible for “younger” citizens with a family and full-time job to serve the community.  I see myself as just a regular citizen who can bring the concerns of fellow citizens to the table.
