BROOMFIELD BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

Vacant positions on these boards and commissions can occur at any time during the year. If a vacancy occurs early in the year and an alternate is not available to fill the vacancy, it may be filled at any time.

Most vacancies are the result of expiring terms at the end of each year. Vacancies of expiring terms are determined in October of the year, and appointments are made at a regularly scheduled City Council meeting in November. To apply for one of these positions, applicants are asked to fill out an application form and return it to the City Clerk’s Office by a time and date certain. Interviews of applicants are then scheduled, and appointments made by the sitting City Council at a regular City Council meeting.
