Plea bargain by mail offers will be sent out to the address on your ticket for eligible traffic citations.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SEND OR MAKE PAYMENT UNLESS AND UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A PLEA BARGAIN BY MAIL.

0-1             point tickets remain the same and may be paid by mail

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PLEA BY MAIL PROGRAM DOES NOT APPLY TO JUVENILES AND THERE WILL BE NO PLEA BY MAIL OFFER IF THE CURRENT CHARGE IS:

·        Any violation of 6 or more points

·        Any violation of MTC 604 ( including Circular Red; Red Arrow; Right on Red)

·        No Proof of Insurance

·        Careless Driving

·        Any violation involving an accident

·        If Defendant has 3 prior traffic violations within the previous 24 months

·        Speeding in a School Zone or Construction Zone

·        Stopping for School Buses

·        Operation of Bicycles and other human powered vehicles (MTC 1412)

In addition, the first-offense for the following Non-traffic violations may also receive a plea bargain by mail whereby the defendant enters a guilty plea to the original charge and makes payment in the amount identified on the plea bargain.

All tickets issued for Parking Where Prohibited or Handicapped Parking are eligible for a plea by mail offer.

All payable fines and plea by mails will be assessed the $20.00 processing fee in addition to the fine and surcharge assessed.
