In 2004, Kailin was the recipient of the Daniel Pearl memorial
violin, beginning
a path of musical ambassadorship.
In his musical
travels, Kailin has played everywhere from the streets of San
Francisco to the hallowed symphony
halls of Europe, bringing his
music to
both tiny cafés and youth symphonies.
Join us for a fantastic evening
of original music by fiddler for peace Kailin Yong, together with
many talented artists. Kailin’s music is rooted in his travels
around the world, bringing charming melodies from many lands home to
share. We are joined onstage by many talented artists sharing their
experiences, stories, film, art, dance, and poetry towards this
musical mission of peace.
Musical guest artists will likely include musical missionary &
speaker Cameron Powers
composer and multi-instrumentalist
Jesse Manno
and world music and jazz clarinet/sax player
Dexter Payne
