Xcel Energy Launches Energy Efficiency Programs for 2012
Effective January 1, 2012, Xcel Energy launched new business and residential energy efficiency programs.
Many of programs remain the same. However, some have changed. Xcel is increasing its efforts to work with trade
partners, retailers, and equipment manufacturers in 2012.
For business customers, Xcel is also including evaporative cooling measures as part of the cooling efficiency
program and combining the boiler efficiency and furnace products to create one heating efficiency program.
The recommissioning program is improved to include more savings opportunities within the building shell.
For specific rebate details and eligibility requirements, see the Xcel program summaries below.
The Governor's Energy Office (GEO) uses community networks to engage local, small
businesses in energy retrofit projects. Support is provided to
businesses for building energy assessments, lighting retrofits,
set-back thermostats and re-commissioning or a thorough tune-up of
HVAC systems.
