March  
1st and 6th Introduction to Xeriscape Lecture 
Saturday morning March 1, 9 - 10:30 a.m. or Thursday evening, March 6, 7 - 8:30 p.m.
- presented  by the Colorado State University Master Gardeners in Broomfield, the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library and Broomfield Environmental Services Division.  The lectures will be held at the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Library (second floor), 3 Community Park Rd., Broomfield.  Call 720-887-2286 for more information.
  Tree-limb Recycling drop-off open! 
No Commercial Dumping.
 Tree Limb Recycling drop-off is open Saturdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Wednesdays 1-5:00 pm only.  The site is closed at all other times.  The drop-off will be open year-round, weather permitting.  This program is for Broomfield residents only and staff will check I.D.'s!

19th Earth Day Program Just for Kids!
Saturday April 19, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
at the Broomfield Community Center Lakeshore Room. Presented by the CSU Cooperative Extension Master Gardener's Program and Environmental Services.  Only 50 slots are available for kids, ages six to 12, to be dropped off for an afternoon of fun crafts and activities to promote environmental awareness. Please register with the CSU Cooperative Extension Office in Broomfield at 720-887-2286.

April 26, May 3, 10 Spring Clean-up Days! 
Saturdays April 26, May 3 and 10.
  Curbside pick-up for the 2008 Spring Clean-up program.  This program is for Broomfield residents to dispose of large non-hazardous items not normally taken curbside by the trash haulers. No appointments necessary. Check the map for your designated pick up day  MAP. Please click on + button to increase map scale.  Don't miss your pick up day! There will be no drop off program. May 7th Toxic Free Housecleaning Workshop
Wednesday, May 7th
6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Broomfield recycling Center 225 Commerce St., Broomfield.  Jump into your spring cleaning while saving money and the environment.  Learn to make effective household cleaning supplies without using toxic chemicals.  Bring your own bottles to take home your own environmentally friendly cleaning supplies.  Contact the Broomfield Recycling Center  at 303-404-2839 or genevieve@ecocycle.org for more details.

25th West Nile Virus/Integrated Pest Management  Seminar/Mosquito Fish Giveaway
Wednesday, June 25th, 7-8:00 PM at the White tent near Community Park Amphitheater north of the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library,  3 Community Park Road.  Marshall Lipps from Colorado Mosquito Control will provide the most up to date information on methods for controlling mosquitoes and free mosquito eating fish will be given away. Year-round Waste Motor Oil and Cooking Oil Recycling- The popular year round waste oil recycling program is available at the Norman Smith Service Center located at 3001 W. 124th Ave. Broomfield residents may drop used motor oil or cooking oil Tuesday through Friday 8:00am-3:00pm and the first Saturday of every month from 8:00-Noon.  There is a 5 gal per household per month limit.
