Barbeques may be included if they have the propane tanks
removed.

Lawn mowers, combustible engines and transmissions may be included if they are drained of all liquids and disassembled into parts weighing less
than 100 pounds each.

Liquid waste of any kind;

Tires, due to legislation we can not landfill tires.
·
any items that cannot be lifted by two people;
·
any appliance with a Freon unit, such as refrigerators,
freezers and air conditioners; (These units are considered hazardous and
require special handling. Call your trash hauler for special pickup
and fees.)
·
car bodies, car batteries, antifreeze, motor oil;
·
propane tanks from barbeques (check yellow pages for gas
companies, some will recycle tanks for free), combustible material including
lighter fluid, charcoal briquettes, etc., fire extinguishers (check yellow
pages for companies that service fire extinguishers, most will recycle them)
·
concrete, brick, rock, soil or sod, grass clippings, (These
items need to be delivered directly to the landfill)
·
tree limbs or tree stumps less than 12” diameter, shrubs, (Tree
limbs less than 12” diameter may be disposed of at the Tree-limb Recycling
drop-off at 225 Commerce Street on Wednesdays from 1-5 p.m. and Saturdays
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
·
sealed containers or drums; any items listed as a hazardous
material; any corrosives, flammable or combustible liquids; pesticides,
herbicides, paint, (see note below on Household Hazardous Waste)
·
business, commercial, industrial or agricultural waste, or
household trash.
