Broomfield County Colorado Food Stamp Nutrition Education (FSNE)

Colorado State University Extension provides nutrition education classes that specifically target those who are eligible for income-based assistance programs such as Food Stamps, WIC, Head Start, and Social Service programs.

Our main program is the Food Stamp Nutrition Education (FSNE) program, which is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered by Extension.

We help participants learn to:

  • Plan and prepare low-cost, healthful meals.

  • Stretch their monthly food dollars.

  • Invest their food dollars in healthful food choices.

Classes include: hands-on lessons in shopping, food preparation and food safety.
