This HHS Division is responsible for programs and medical services offered
to Broomfield's elderly and disabled population who meet program eligibility
criteria.

Adult Protective Services Counties are mandated to investigate reports
of abuse, neglect (self-neglect or caregiver neglect) and exploitation of
at-risk adults. Investigations are initiated within 72 hours, sooner if
the report is urgent.
Single Entry Point The HHS Single Entry Point case manager provides Broomfield residents over the age of 18 with nursing home diversion
options
enabling them to remain at home or in the community. These services will
allow residents to remain out of a nursing home and receiving in-home
care.
Other Benefit Programs
Low-Income Energy Assistance Program
This program is designed to provide eligible adults (single adults or couples)
with limited financial assistance toward paying utility bills between the
months of November and April. Baby
Care/Kid Care
This program is designed to provide and promote prenatal care and well child
care to persons in need of health insurance, but unable to obtain it. Adult and Aging Eligibility Programs
The Adult and Aging Eligibility Programs provide interim financial and medical
benefits to persons who meet the eligibility criteria.
