Public Health Nursing Clinics and Programs

Public health nursing is the practice of promoting and protecting the health of populations using knowledge from nursing, social and public health sciences. Public health nurses work directly with people by caring for and working with individuals, families, and communities through outreach and education. They are prepared to face bioterrorism and emerging infectious diseases; they conduct health promotion activities; and they serve vulnerable populations with sensitivity and care.
