Welcome to the City and County of Broomfield’s Special Supplemental Nutrition
Program for Women, Infants and Children, commonly known as WIC. Our program provides families with
the latest nutrition and breastfeeding education, referrals, and supplemental foods
at no charge. Eligible participants are low-income pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, and infants and
children up to age five who are at nutritional risk. WIC has provided these services to low income families for thirty years.
The length of time an individual may receive benefits depends on whether the
individual is pregnant, postpartum, breastfeeding, an infant, or a child.
Breastfeeding women are eligible for twelve months while non-breastfeeding women
can only receive WIC benefits for six months.
You may qualify for the program if you are
pregnant, postpartum, and/or have children under the age of five.
You must also meet Colorado income guidelines and qualify based on
nutritional assessment. Review the chart to the right for WIC
income eligibility guidelines.
