
Career Development Facilitation and Job Placement/Training assistance
For Laid-Off Workers and Displaced Homemakers
Target Group
People
who have lost their jobs through layoffs, downsizing, plant and business
closures.
In addition, we have services for job seekers who have been a full time
homemaker for at least three years
and were mainly supported by another person who is no longer present.
General Eligibility Requirements
1. Have been laid off or will be laid off within the next six months, are
eligible for unemployment
insurance and have difficulty finding comparable employment.
2. Have lost your job due to a
business closure
3. Are self-employed and have
lost or are in the process of losing your business
4. Were a full time homemaker
for at least three years and mainly supported by a person who is no longer present in the home.
5. Commit to a twelve-month
follow-up upon successful completion of the program.

Hot to Apply
1. Come to our
office and register for work with our Employee Services Team
2. Conduct and document your
intensive job search efforts.
3. Complete WIP Adult
application available in our office.
4. Provide documentation
supporting information provided on the completed WIP application.
5. Return all forms and
necessary information to our office.
Documentation Required
Written proof of general
eligibility requirements, work history, educational background and job search or barrier
assessment.
