HIRE Colorado
HIRE Colorado is a new on-the-job training program sponsored by the Colorado Department of Human Services and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. HIRE Colorado expands upon best practices currently in use by the state’s workforce centers to provide paid work experiences for job seekers and to support the creation of new jobs across the state.
The program offers employers the opportunity to train and develop future employees while saving money, helps businesses reduce labor costs and train potential employees to meet their specific needs and standards. Hire Colorado will reimburse 50% to 100% of qualifying participant’s wages during the program timeframe (February 2010 – June 2010).
You may qualify if you are a job seeker and you:

are a resident of City and County of Broomfield,

are legally able to work in the US,

have a total household income of less than $75,000, and
-
have a child under the age of 18.
You must meet all of the above State and Federal requirements. Hire Colorado is an innovative subsidized employment program that provides short-term employment to qualified adults. Priority will be given to those who are on or have received Unemployment Insurance benefits within the past year.
