Educational Opportunity Center

The Educational Opportunity Center is a community organization that provides volunteer services at the Broomfield Workforce Center one day each week.  The EOC will help you explore the options available to you in education, career or technical training, career counseling, and even help you apply for funding for education and training programs.    

The Educational Opportunity Center can help you by:

  • Providing admission assistance and academic advising for:

GED, Colleges/Universities, or Career and Technical Training.

  • Providing assistance with resumes and online career searches.

  • Helping you apply for money for College/Training:

FAFSA, GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, WORK-STUDY, LOANS

  • Helping you identify or redefine your educational career goals with career counseling, using the following instruments:

  • SII         Strong Interest Inventory

  • MBTI     Myers Briggs Type Indicator

  • SIE        Strong Interest Explorer

  • SDS      Self-Directed Search

This is a free service provided by Mike Nowicki at the Broomfield Workforce Center every Tuesday.  The only requirement for this service is that your education level is less than a Bachelor's Degree. To make an appointment, call (303) 629-9226 or inquire in person at the front desk.
