The Broomfield Workforce Center provides priority
of service to veterans in all employment and training programs.
Veteran Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to receive
services as a veteran you must meet one
of the following eligibility criteria:
Served on active duty
in a branch of the United States military
for a minimum of 181 days for other than training and received other than a
dishonorable discharge.
Have a service-related disability.
Received a
campaign medal and received other than a dishonorable discharge.
Veterans Assistance is available in the
following areas.
Job Referral--Referrals to jobs from the
Colorado Workforce Center database.
Case Management--Close follow-up, job
development, and intensive job search for veterans.
Local Employer Information--Information
is available on employers in Broomfield County.
Job Search Assistance--Veterans
Employment Specialists provide guidance in searching for employment locally
and nationally.
Referrals to Training--Veterans
Employment Specialists will refer veterans to appropriate training to
improve employability.
ATTENTION VETERANS:
Public Law 107-288, section 2(a) of the Act 38 U.S.C. 4215(a) creates a priority service for veterans (and some spouses) "who otherwise meet the eligibility requirements for participation" in Department of Labor training programs.
