Eligibility for WIA Youth:

All applicants must: 
►  Be a resident of Broomfield
►  Be between the ages of 14-21
►  Reside in a low income household
►  Meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Deficient in basic literacy skills (math and/or reading)

  • School dropout

  • Homeless

  • In Foster Care

  • Pregnant or a Parent

  • Offender history (misdemeanor or felony)

  • An individual who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program to secure and hold employment

Please note that WIA funds are limited and this is NOT an entitlement program.

How do I apply for or refer someone to the WIA Youth Program?

If you feel that WIA Youth may be a program that has something to offer you, please download, print and fill out the WIA Youth Application then call (303) 464-5891 and schedule an appointment with the Youth Workforce Specialist.  If you do not have a computer at home call the Youth Workforce Specialist to arrange to pick up an application and to schedule an appointment.  Throughout your involvement in WIA, your specialist will be there for guidance and to help you achieve educational, vocational and employment success.  If you know of a youth who may benefit from the WIA Youth program, you may refer that person by completing and submitting the referral form (Click on this link to download the referral form).
