Housing Rehabilitation and Mobile Home Repair Program!

The City and County of Broomfield is now accepting applications for the Housing Rehabilitation and Mobile Home Repair Program.  The programs are available to owner-occupants that meet the income and asset requirements.  The application packet is available by clicking here!

Applications are now being accepted for the Tenant Based Rental Assistance Program.

FREE Weatherization - Lower Utility Bills and Make Your Home Safer!
Provided by Longs Peak Energy Conservation, a division of Boulder County government, through a grant from the Governor's Energy Office

 

 

 

Services - Licensed technicians perform energy audits - check for carbon monoxide poisoning and gas leaks - add insulation (as appropriate) - perform furnace checks, repairs and replacements - air-seal homes - replace refrigerators (as appropriate)

Property Qualification - Properties that have previously received weatherization are ineligible.

Terms of Assistance - Assistance is provided as a grant, FREE to the resident.

 HOMEOWNERSHIP CLASS

This free class, offered by the Boulder County Housing Counseling Program, a division of Boulder County Housing and Human Services, is designed to empower you with knowledge as you move along your path toward homeownership.  This course will help you...

     Determine how much home you can afford;
     Budget for the expenses of homeownership;
     Recognize how your credit relates to home buying;
     Discover resources for down payment assistance and affordable housing;
     Understand different mortgage financing options;
     Learn about making an offer and closing loan documents;
     Become familiar with home inspections; and
     Develop a plan for "healthy homeownership."

Broomfield Public Library - Eisenhower Room (June 25, 2011, and August 13, 2011), located at 3 Community Park Road, Broomfield

Boulder - Boulder County Housing and Human Services Department office, located at 2525 13th St., #204 in Boulder. The office is located approx. 5 blocks north of Pearl St., just east of Broadway.

Longmont - Longmont Senior Center, located at 910 Longs Peak Ave. in Longmont.

 

Financial Fitness Course

The Boulder County Housing Counseling Program, a division of Boulder County Housing and Human Services, offers a Financial Fitness Course; a 4-part course (Budget, Credit, Banking, Borrowing) to help improve your relationship with money. Learn how to set financial goals and begin working toward them!
