Boulder County Housing Counseling Program

The Boulder County Housing Counseling Program provides free one-on-one counseling and homebuyer education for pre- and post-purchase homebuyers. Beginning July 2008, a housing counselor will have an office in Broomfield to meet with Broomfield residents. Free homebuyer educational classes are free and open to the public. The class provides important information to better understand the home buying process including budgeting and money management, what to look for when buying a home, selecting a real estate agent, the mortgage lending process, and responsibilities of homeownership. Colorado Housing Enterprises

Colorado Housing Enterprises, an affiliate of Colorado Rural Housing Development Corporation (CRHDC), offers free homeownership education courses covering topics such as managing money, understanding credit, obtaining a mortgage loan, shopping for a home, and keeping the home and managing finances. Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) provides free homebuyer education in a classroom setting or by taking the class online. For dates, times, locations, and reservations, please contact one of the agencies listed on the course schedule. To take the online course, go to CHFA University.

Metro Mortgage Assistance Program

Metro Mortgage

Administered by the Metro Mayors Caucus and the City and County of Denver, this program offers a below-market interest rate and a down payment assistance grant for first-time buyers in Broomfield (and other jurisdictions). This program is unavailable until further notice.

Colorado Housing and Finance Authority

Colorado Housing Enterprises, an affiliate of Colorado Rural Housing Development Corporation (CRHDC), is a Certified Development Financial Institution and provides low-interest loans and/or down payment and closing cost assistance.
