The City and County of
Broomfield offers the following programs to help you fix up your home
and increase its energy-efficiency. All properties participating in the
program must be located within the City/County limits of Broomfield. The
programs include:
Housing
Rehabilitation Program
Program Description:
Licensed contractors address
building code compliance and health and safety issues, provide
accessibility modifications, and make repairs to major systems
such as heating, plumbing, electrical and roofing.
Eligibility Requirements:
Participants must owner-occupy
the property and meet income, asset and credit requirements.
Loan Terms: Up to $20,000 may be borrowed. The
assistance is in the form of a deferred loan (for households
earning between 51% and 80% of the Area Median Income) or a
10-year forgivable loan (for households earning below 50% of the
Area Median Income).
Program Description:

Eligibility Requirements:
Participants must owner-occupy
the property and meet income, asset and credit requirements.
Loan Terms:Up to $5,000 may be borrowed. The
assistance is in the form of a 2-year forgivable loan.
Program Description:
Weatherization technicians perform energy audits and provide the
following services: check for carbon monoxide poisoning and gas
leaks; add insulation; perform furnace checks, repairs and
replacements; air-seal homes; and replace refrigerators.
Eligibility Requirements:
Participants may be
owner-occupants or tenants (with owner's permission). All
residents must meet income requirements.
Loan Terms:This program is provided as a
grant, at no cost to the resident.
