The 15th annual Broomfield Trail Adventure was held on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Prize award BTA 2016It was a picture-perfect summer morning for the event, hosted at East Park, in the Interlocken area (280 Interlocken Blvd.). Approximately 400 people participated.

The Broomfield 100 2016 challenge also kicked off on June 4. If you don't yet have your "passport," stop by the City and County Building, the Paul Derda Recreation Center, or the Community Center. Read more about the Broomfield 100 challenge.

As always, the event took place on National Trails Day and was one of many events celebrated across the country to celebrate trails and the outdoors. The event included a scenic walking loop (2.5 miles) and a biking route on the newly opened US-36 Bikeway Trail, as well as a short loop around the East Park area for children and families. National Trails Day was celebrated at the Broomfield Trail Adventure on the cool but sunny morning of June 6. The event was hosted at Legacy Park, just to the west of Legacy High School's parking lot. Trail routes followed the Lake Link Trail past Plaster Reservoir and along the Quail Creek area.

Biking at BTACool temperatures and sunny skies welcomed approximately 300 people to the 2014 Trail Adventure. The event featured trails in the Anthem community in north Broomfield.

In 2013, Broomfield celebrated the 12th annual Broomfield Trail Adventure at the Metzger Farm Open Space. See photos from the event. The event offered three routes—a short walking loop (1 mile), longer walking loop (2.5 miles), and a biking loop (5 miles). Printable route map.

The 2011 Broomfield Trail Adventure was held at the Broomfield County Commons Open Space. Mild temperatures and no wind made it a perfect day for a trail outing! View the route maps from the 2011 event or watch a video of the event!

The 2010 Broomfield Trail Adventure was held in the Anthem Highlands community in north Broomfield and highlighted the area's trail system. Check out the routes that were selected.
