Ages: Newborn to 24 months (with caregiver) 
Times: Thursdays from 9:15 a.m. to 9:35 a.m. and repeated from 10 to 10:20 a.m.
Dates: Starting September 8
This is an interactive story time for babies their parent or caregiver that focuses on the "three R's:" rhythm, rhyme, and repetition. Enjoy age-appropriate books, songs, rhymes, and baby sign language, all intended to promote language development and early literacy in a lively and fun atmosphere. Facts on brain development, early literacy, and social emotional growth are shared throughout the program. The event includes time for adults to socialize and babies to play.

Ages: 21 months to 35 months (with caregiver)
Dates: Mondays: October 24 - December 12
            Wednesdays: October 26 - December 14

Broomfield Resident Registration: October 10 - October 16.   Open Registration: October 17 - October 23

Program Description: Toddler Story Time is for toddlers ages 21 - 35 months and an accompanying adult. This 25-30 minute program includes age-appropriate stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays that help develop the toddler’s skills in oral language, listening, motor development and social skills while fostering a love of reading and books. Caregivers are introduced to early literacy skills they can practice with their children to prepare them for successful learning when they enter school.

Toddler Story Time is planned to support the special developmental needs of toddlers. Registration is required to attend Toddler Story Time; drop-ins will not be accepted. View the library story time schedule or other programs that do not require registration.

Registration preference will be given to Broomfield residents during the first week of      registration (Broomfield Resident Registration).
Broomfield residents must provide proof-of-residency to register the first week of Toddler Story Time.

registrations and the Parent Toddler Workshop registrations.

Ages:  3 - 5 years
Times:  Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
      Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Dates: starting September 6

Throughout this story time, preschoolers enjoy stories and songs that develop early literacy skills and foster curiosity. This program is reserved for children ages three to five who can sit on their own and comfortably participate in a variety of literature based activities geared towards preparing children for learning to read. Asking preschoolers to attend without their caregivers helps to develop a sense of independence that will be needed as they start school.

Family Story Time 
Ages:  All ages 
Times: Thursdays from 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Dates: starting September 8
All are welcome at our family story time! This program features participatory stories, songs, and movement activities geared towards promoting early literacy and building a foundation for a love of books. Age appropriate activities are presented in three segments from younger to older in order to meet the developmental needs of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Transitions are built into the program so younger children can take a break if necessary. Join us for a wonderful, shared experience for the whole family.

Ages: All ages but with an emphasis on newborns - Prekindergarten
Dates: January 28
11 - 11:45 a.m. 

Offered on the fourth Saturday of the month in the Children's Library Story Room. Stories, books, fingerplays and songs will focus on an early literacy skill, followed by a craft. Families will have an opportunity to practice fun activities they can use at home to learn early literacy skills kids need to become successful learners in school. Family Early Literacy Time is free and open to all ages. Pick up a ticket at the Children's Reference Desk the morning of the program.
