Meet Broomfielders Sandy and Don Miller as they share stories from their 6-month thru-hike on the Appalachian Trail. Join Broomfield resident Bette Erickson and other One Book, One Broomfield readers on a scenic and leisurely hike at the McKay Lake trail. Erickson is the author of numerous hiking books and writes the weekly Explorations column for the Broomfield Enterprise. Meet at the McKay Lake trailhead on 144th. Registration required.

Life at 3 mph- Sunday, October 23 at 3 p.m. Walk at 4 p.m.


Jonathon Stalls, the founder of the Walk2Connect Cooperative, will present on the whole health benefits of walking. He will share experiences from his long-distance walks across the U.S. and inspire attendees to be stewards of a growing movement to connect more by foot. A community walk in nearby open space will follow the presentation. Registration Required.
