Mission
The Library Board is a seven member board appointed by and advisory to the Broomfield City Council. Members must be residents of the city. The board convenes to organize and elect a chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary. The board reviews the annual budget request prepared by the library director prior to submittal to the city manager and city council and provides written recommendations regarding approval. The board works in unison with the library director to aid in fulfilling the library needs for Broomfield residents.Any interested citizen is invited to attend board meetings. Regular board meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Please call the library to confirm meeting times. Applications for open positions are available in November of each year.
