Conversation Groups

On-going - Practice your spoken English in the Library’s conversation groups. The conversation groups are a fun way to improve yConversation Groupsour English and learn more about life in the United States . These classes are not English as a Second Language classes, and do not specifically emphasize grammar or vocabulary. Free class. No registration needed. Come anytime!

Meeting Times:

Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Thursday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Friday at 10 a.m.

Conversation Class La Biblioteca Pública de Broomfield ofrece clases para personas que hablan español . La clase es informal, para gente que quiere mejorar su inglés hablado, sin enfocarse tanto en la gramática. Las clases son gratis, pero limitadas a pocas personas. We offer beginning, intermediate and advanced classes. These classes focus on vocabulary, grammar and reading.

U.S. Citizenship Class @ your Library
Citizenship Class

On Thursday, January 14, at 7 p.m. Kate M. Syfert, Community Relations Officer for the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, will talk about citizenship requirements, the application process, and the naturalization interview for students.  This program will be the first in a series of five classes to be held at the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library in Broomfield.

Citizenship classes will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday evenings beginning January 14 and running through February 11 (five weeks).  Each class will be approximately one hour.  Space is limited.  Please call the Reference Desk at 720-887-2350 to register for this free class.

 
One-on-One Computer Tutoring
Computer Tutoring

This program is for those who need an introduction to computer fundamentals, basic e-mail, Internet searches, and Windows XP 2002 computer software, including Word and Excel.

The student chooses topics from among these choices. Sessions are meant to be focused and are not complete reviews of entire programs

The student will meet with a tutor at the library for one to four approximately 1-hour sessions. Between sessions it is important that students practice, practice, practice!

Students are required to bring their Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library card to check out the tutoring computer and to log in.

Knit & Lit
Knit & Lit

WHAT:  A wonderful opportunity to knit with other adults
in your community.  Ages 16 and over are welcome. Instruction is available.

 WHEN:  The first Sunday of every month from 1-3 pm.
