AskColorado is a free online information service provided by Colorado libraries. Chat live with a librarian anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week except major holidays. Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library participates in this program.
Colorado Virtual Library is a cooperative project of the Colorado State Library and the Colorado library community to provide access to other libraries collections, resources for kid and teachers, and AskColorado. This website also provides digital collections, historic papers, geospatial data and interlibrary loan.
Colorado Virtual Library for Kids is a directory of resources specifically for kids. Subjects include About Colorado, Facts and Current Events, Science and Math, History, Geographyand Biography, Health and Well-Being, The Arts, Reading, Writing and Speaking, Literature, Society and Government, Computers and the Internet, Machines and Transportation, Sports and Recreation, Religion and Mythology, Popular Entertainments, Home and Household, the Weird and Mysterious and much more.
EBSCO offers a broad range of full text and bibliographic databases including Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, Novelist and the Auto Repair Reference Center. Student Research Center - High school and Middle School; Kids Search - Middle and Elementary School and Searchasaurus - Elementary School.
FirstSearch is a collection of twelve reference databases covering a wide range of subjects for students and adults. The most popular databases are WorldCat, Medline, ERIC and the WorldAlmanac. Other databases include ArticleFirst, ClasePeriodica, ECO, GPO, Ebooks, PapersFirst, Proceedings, and WorldCATDissertations.
Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, for students and adults alike, indexes over 25,000 records, covering an array of topics. Full text for each record may be easily accessed by double clicking on the topic from the display. The database contains various images, offers brief biographies as well as information in a variety of subject areas. This database is updated annually.
General Reference Center Gold provides access to hundreds of full text periodicals, newspapers, general interest sources and major reference books. (GRGM is formerly known as Infotrac.)
Grolier Online is a collection of five reference databases: Encyclopedia Americana, Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, The New Book of Popular Science, and Lands and Peoples. Complete this Harry Potter scavanger hunt to learn how to use all these Grolier online resources.
Middle Search Plus provides full text for more than 140 popular, middle school magazines. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. Middle Search Plus also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 400,972 photos, maps and flags.
NewsBank contains information from newspapers and newswires including the Daily Camera, Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, and the Broomfield Enterprise.

Teen Health and Wellness provides students with comprehensive curricular support and self-help tools on topics including diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, fitness, mental health, diversity, family life, and more. Developed for teens, with their unique concerns and perspective in mind. Login and password is mdepl.
Reading and Literature:
Litfinder provides a wealth of primary literature content, including full-text poems, poem citations and excerpts, full-text short stories, full-text essays, full-text speeches, and full-text plays. LitFinder also includes biographies, work summaries, photographs, and a glossary.
Using NoveList Plus, you can search among hundreds of thousands of popular fiction and readable nonfiction titles, and also retrieve author read-alikes, book lists, book discussion guides, and more. NoveList Plus
includes everything in NoveList, as well as additional coverage for nonfiction titles.
NoveList K-8 Plus focuses on nonfiction reading materials that
support the recreational reading interests of children and students from preschool through middle

Facts On File's Science Online offers biographies, essays, definitions, diagrams, experiments, timelines and more representing significant achievements, discoveries, or natural phenomena related to the development of science.
The Science and Education Centeris located on the library’s first floor. The collection contains books, databases, CD-ROMS, videos, posters, study kits, games, models, and scientific equipment designed to enhance learning on a variety of scientific subjects for children age 18 months to 18 years old. The interactive and exploratory nature of the collection makes this a unique center for scientific learning.
Study Skills and Exam Preparation:
Learning Express provides access to interactive skill-building courses and a broad range of practice tests based on such official exams as the ACT, SAT, GED. There are also math, study skills, and much more for grades 4-12..
