Check out these websites to see which books are worthy!

Best Books for Young Adults: The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) a division of the American Library Association compiles several book lists including Best Books for Young Adults, Popular Paperbacks, and Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers. 

Delacourte Press Winners: The winners of this contest are written by authors that have never published a young adult novel before. The winners are fresh new authors with contemporary stories to tell. 

Colorado Blue Spruce Awards: The Colorado Blue Spruce Awards are Young Adult books that are voted on by Colorado teens as being the best books of the year. There is one winner per year. Click on the link to find out which books won in what year and which books are nominated for next year. 
 

Michael L. Printz Award: The Michael L. Printz Award is an award for a book that exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature. It is named for a Topeka, Kansas school librarian who was a long-time active member of the Young Adult Library Services Association.

Margaret A. Edwards Award: Lifetime achievement for an author's work in helping adolescents become aware of themselves and addressing questions about their role and importance in relationships, society, and in the world.

Newbery Award Winners: Named after the 18th Century bookseller John Newbery, the Newbery Award is one of the most prestigious awards a young adult title can win. The award is given out annually to a book that has enhanced children's literature in America. Click on the link for a list of winners from 1922-the present.
