Teen volunteer opportunities are available through the Teen Advisory Board
(see below) or working with the Young Adult Librarian. Volunteers are usually
assigned a two-hour shift per week. Assignments include general office
work such as photocopying, filing, labeling books or other special
projects.

Middle school and High school students are invited to
join the Teen Advisory Board. TAB works with library staff to plan and run
monthly teen programs and the summer reading program. TAB also makes
recommendations for books, music, and movies for the library to purchase.
Meetings are on the 1st and 3rd
Monday of every month from 4-5pm in the 2nd floor Eisenhower room. TAB also counts
as volunteer hours for community service. To join, stop by the Teen Zone desk
and pick up an application form.

Who may qualify for community service?
Broomfield residents
Minimum age of 12 years old
English language fluency Offenses which are non-threatening, non-violent, not drug-related, not theft-related, and not sex-related.
What time is available?
2 hour block on Thursday evening, usually 5-7 pm.
How do I schedule my community service?
Contact the Co-Manager of Young Adult Services, Fran Jenner, at 720-887-2366.
Adult volunteers may help with either the Boost Your Brain: Science and Math Tutoring or serve on the Science Task Force.
Adults wishing to serve on the Science Task Force should contact Erica Segraves at 720-887-2362 for more information. STF volunteers will also need to fill out an Adult Volunteer Application and a Disclosure Form. Bring these forms in along with photo id. Background checks will be conducted before assignment.
