Want to be nurtured as a writer? Join our group, Write Out. We will write, share (no critiquing), and discuss our writing process. Meet in the Teen Zone Study Room.

Bean Bag Battle March 1-31
Bitten by a Bean Bag--Bean Bags from Outer Space--The Secret Life of a Bean Bag--Me and My Bean Bag
March kicks off our month-long short story writing contest. Compose a 1000 word or less short story that features a bean bag in it and you can win your very own (slightly used) bean bag chair from the Teen Zone. We'll also publish your story in an upcoming issue of the 411. Five winners will be announced on April 12 and bag colors will be given out on first come, first served basis. All genres accepted, but here are a few for inspirational purposes: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Suspense, Mystery, Memoir, Humorous, Romance, and Historical Fiction.
Pick up a registration form at the Teen Zone desk. Then turn in your story from March 1-31.
Voting will take place April 1-11. All teens are welcome to read what other writers have submitted and cast your vote for your favorite.
