Public hearing set for cable franchise

Broomfield City Council will conduct a public hearing on June 24 at its regular meeting regarding a cable television franchise with ComCast before voting on whether to approve the agreement.

Residents who wish to testify on this matter may do so at the meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at One DesCombes Dr.

Open Space, Parks, Recreation and Trails, Master Plan presentation
A Community Presentation on the final recommendations for the Open Space, Parks, Recreation and Trails, Master Plan is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2003 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, at the Broomfield Municipal Center, One DesCombes Drive.

Key questions include:

·              How many acres of new open space and parks are proposed for acquisition?

·              What are the recommendations for the maintenance of parks and open space lands?

·              How will Broomfield trails be integrated into an overall community and regional trail network?

·              How will Broomfield ensure that future parks meet the community’s needs?

·              What measures are proposed to protect critical natural areas and wildlife?
