Media Release February 20, 2003 Media Contact: Rosann Doran Spring work to be explained at public meetingThis spring, the City and County of Broomfield will begin work to widen Sheridan Boulevard north of 9th Avenue. At the same time, a reuse water line will be installed from Highland Park north along Sheridan Boulevard. A public meeting has been scheduled to explain these two projects. The meeting is set for March 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Bal Swan Conference Room on the lower level of the Broomfield Municipal Center (1 DesCombes Dr). Anyone interested in these projects is encouraged to attend. The reuse water line will supply reclaimed water to irrigate the Broomfield Cemetery, which is currently in design. Construction on the cemetery is scheduled to begin this summer. Reuse water will also irrigate the Section 30 park and ball field complex, which is currently under construction, and the Sheridan Boulevard landscaping. The widening project will expand Sheridan to four lanes to match the future planned alignment north of 136th Ave. The project also includes a separate frontage for those homes north of 13th Ave. facing Sheridan. | ||||||||||
