Broomfield celebrates National Infant Immunization WeekBroomfield’s Health and Human Services Department (HHS) will celebrate National Infant Immunization Week April 13-19 by offering additional immunization clinic hours on Wednesday, April 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. and by sponsoring a coloring contest at several Broomfield day care facilities to promote safety and good health through immunizations. Vaccines protect children from 12 serious childhood diseases that were once common. “Vaccinating children is the number one precaution parents can take to keep their children safe from disease,” says John Pickle, HHS Public Health Officer. Today’s immunizations are safe, important and effective for keeping kids healthy, he added. Residents wishing to have children vaccinated may contact Kelly Miller, public health nurse, at 720-887-2239 to schedule an appointment. Miller will also assist those wanting to host a coloring contest at a day care facility. | ||||||||||
