HHS offers help with heating bills

Broomfield's Health and Human Services Department is taking applications for the Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) now through April 30. LEAP provides assistance with winter home heating costs to eligible, low-income households. LEAP won't pay the entire cost of home heating, but can provide some help for those who are qualified.

If you pay home heating costs to an energy provider, fuel dealer, or as part of your rent; are a permanent legal resident of the U.S. and Colorado, and your maximum family household income falls within the specific guidelines below, you may be eligible for LEAP assistance. (Household means people who live with you and for whom you are financially responsible.)

For more information, contact the Broomfield Health and Human Services Department at 720-887-2200.
