 Councilmembers set Ward 5 meeting

Broomfield City Councilmembers Randy Ahrens and Walt Spader will host a meeting for their constituents on Friday, June 11 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. in the lobby of the City and County Building, One DesCombes Dr.

Residents of Ward 5 can come to meet with their representatives to discuss items of interest and any issues they may have.  A continental breakfast will be available.

Taxes due June 15

Broomfield taxpayers are reminded that the second half of their property taxes must be paid by Tuesday, June 15. Property tax bills were mailed in January.  Property owners had the option of paying in taxes in full by April 30, or in two payments.

Property owners who have not received a tax notice should contact the Broomfield Central Records Office immediately.  Non-receipt of a notice does not forgive the requirement to make payments on time.

Teen volunteers needed

Teens with extra time this summer are invited to consider Broomfield’s Summer Youth Volunteer Program.

Several upcoming activities are in need of teen volunteers. They include the Mini HAHA race on June 13, the Hershey Track Meet on June 26, the Colorado Fireworks Softball Tournament from June 29 to July 3, swim meets on July 11 and August 1, for Broomfield Days on Sept 17 and 18, and ongoing dining room helpers in the Lakeshore Café from June through August.

Interested students are encouraged to call Liane Schafer, Broomfield’s volunteer coordinator, at 303-464-5876 for more information.
