Call now for flu shot appointments
Broomfield Public Health Division nurses will give flu vaccinations to Broomfield residents who meet the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) criteria. Vaccinations will be offered by appointment only. Call 720-887-2220 to schedule. Using CDC guidelines, the nurses will give shots to children aged 6 to 23 months (no Broomfield residency required); children age 2-18 years who have a medical condition (these children need not be Broomfield residents, but must have medical condition). CDC guidelines also include adults age 65 years and older; those age 2 to 64 years with underlying chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, asthma, or heart disease; women who will be pregnant during the influenza season; health-care workers involved in direct patient care; and out-of-home caregivers and those with household contacts with children under 6 months, such as child care providers. The clinics are scheduled at the Broomfield HHS building, 6 Garden Center, in the Broadlands Conference Room, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on October 26 and 28 and November 4 and 9. Appointments will be made on a first come, first served basis and as vaccine supplies last. | ||||||||||
