2005 Citizens’ Academy registrations due soon

Citizens' Academy registrations for the 2005 sessions are currently being taken and are due by Thursday, Feb. 10.

The annual Citizens' Academy is designed especially for residents interested in learning about local government, offering them an opportunity to become more informed.

Six consecutive sessions will begin on Thursday, Feb. 17 and continuing through March 24. Time is 6:30 to 9 p.m., and the location is in the City Council Chambers at One DesCombes Dr.

Sessions will include information on Broomfield's governmental structure, the water supply, legal underpinnings of the City and County, the development and planning processes, health and safety and recreation.
