Hospital to offer mobile
mammography
at Broomfield Community Center
The Boulder Community Hospital mobile mammography unit
will be at the Broomfield Community Center on Wednesday, Feb. 2 from 9 a.m.
until 3 p.m. to offer mammograms for interested area residents.
This special outreach is a response to statistics that indicate that breast
cancer strikes one in eight women in the U.S. and early detection is the best
protection against the disease.
Those who wish to take advantage of this medical screening must be over the
age of 18. Appointments are necessary and detailed information about
preparation for the procedure will be sent prior to the appointment. Call
303-464-5526 to schedule an appointment. No walk-ins will be accommodated.
Boulder Community Hospital accepts most types of insurance. Please be sure to
check with your insurance carrier regarding mammogram coverage and preferred
providers. The mobile mammography unit does not accept Kaiser insurance.
Grants may be available to assist those who are uninsured and underinsured or
for whom cost may be a problem. For information, contact Kristy Martinez at
303-544-5773.
