Councilmember Buzek receives Certificate of Achievement

Broomfield Councilmember Vince Buzek was recently recognized by the National League of Cities (NLC) after having completed that organization's Leadership Training Institute. He was awarded a Certificate of Achievement in Leadership at a luncheon in December during the NLC Congress of Cities in Indianapolis.

Through this program, local elected officials are able to develop skills in five core competencies: cornerstone, competent practitioner, communicator, collaborator and catalyst. Councilmember Buzek was among 11 officials, and only three from Colorado, recognized for reaching the Gold Certificate level.

Councilmember Buzek represents Ward 3. His current term expires in 2007.
