Tax division offers seminar on use tax

Contractors, their accountants and staffs are invited to attend a seminar on Broomfield’s use tax Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.  at the City and County Building at One DesCombes Drive, Broomfield, CO 80020. 

Attendees will learn about the building permit process, calculation of use tax deposits, how to exempt the tax when purchasing materials, how to report costs on completed projects, documentation needed for audits, registration of exempt construction projects and personal property tax exemptions.

This free class is offered by Broomfield’s Community Development Department, the Revenue Division and Assessor’s Office.
