can get low-cost services To further the goals of National Women’s Health Week, Broomfield’s Reproductive Health Clinic will provide low-cost pap smears to women without health insurance. Appointments for the exams on Monday, May 9, are required, and a fee of $10 will be collected at the time of the examination. To schedule an appointment, call 720-887-2220. May 9-13 is National Women’s Health Week. The American Cancer Society estimates approximately 50 million women will have an abnormal pap smear in 2005 and 30,000 cases of cervical cancer are diagnosed each year. Broomfield's Reproductive Health Clinic is part of the integrated Health and Human Services Department located at 6 Garden Center. The clinic also provides services to men. Men may make appointments for education and counseling regarding sexually transmitted diseases, and/or family planning. Fees are low-to-no cost and are determined using a sliding fee scale.
