CONEZONE

 The following information represents planned construction activity scheduled by Broomfield that will affect traffic for the week ending July 23.  All construction will proceed weather permitting. Motorists are asked to keep in mind that any unanticipated emergencies are not scheduled and could also affect traffic flow until the needed repairs are complete.

 July 16 - East Midway, Main to Sheridan: chip seal.  Minimal delays expected. Traffic control by flaggers.

 July 16 – Chip seal on Lamar Street from DesCombes Drive to East Third Avenue and Descombes Drive from East Third Avenue to Lamar Street. Minimal traffic delays expected. Traffic control will be managed by flaggers.  

 July 18 and 19 – Chip seal work on Wolff Drive to Yates Court, Osceola Street from W. 126th to W. 127th Avenue, Hilary Court from Patton Street,  West 127th Avenue from Xavier Street, Arlington Avenue from Utica Street to Forest View,  Utica Street from Vrain Circle to Vrain Street, West 124th from Lowell to Perry Street. Minimal traffic delays expected. Traffic control will be managed by flaggers.

July 19 and 20 – Chip seal work on Queen Court from Hazel  Way, Columbine Court from Hazel Street, Hazel Way from W. 128th Ave to Queen Court, Grove Court frp, W. 127th Avenue. Minimal  traffic delays expected. Traffic control will be managed by flaggers.

 July 21 and 22 – Chip seal work on Federal Place from West 134th Avenue, Green Circle from West134th Avenue, West 133rd Avenue from Westlake Drive to Westlake Drive, Green Court from W. 135th Avenue, Green Place from West 135th Avenue, Echo Drive from Trails Avenue to Elk Court, Elk Court from Echo Drive, Grove Way from Frontier Avenue to Grove Court, Frontier Avenue from Grove Way to Briarwood Drive, Alcott Street from West 132nd Avenue to Bryant Way, West 135th Avenue from Westlake Drive to Bryant Way, Minimal traffic delays expected. Traffic control will be managed by flaggers. 

Sheridan Boulevard – Street construction continues between East Ninth Avenue and Aspen Creek Drive.  Work will be most intense at the intersections of Sheridan and West 136th Avenue and East 13th Avenue.  Expect delays in all directions. 

Westlake -  Street reconstruction and waterline work continues in Westlake along the following streets:

West 134th Way, west of Westlake Drive;

West 134th Circle, both sides of Westlake Drive;

West 134th Court, both sides of Westlake Drive; and

West 134th Place.

Traffic will be re-directed and parking may be limited in certain areas. 

Lowell Boulevard - Expect shoulder closures along southbound Lowell Boulevard, from East Midway to approximately West 126th Avenue, for new sidewalk construction. 

Broomfield County Commons Open Space area will be closed to the public beginning the week of July 18, for trail construction and site improvements.  For your safety, please respect posted signs.  The parking lot at Tom Frost Reservoir will remain open. 

Lowell Boulevard from W 136th Avenue south to Rabbit Mountain Road and Trails Avenue:  Waterline work, including street patching, continues  --  lane shift will remain in effect until work is completed. 

Lowell Boulevard at West 160th Avenue:  Street construction continues. Detours can be expected. 

New Anthem Area - in general bordered by Lowell and Tennyson on the west, Colorado 7 on the north, Huron on the east and 152nd and the Northwest Parkway on the south: Construction continues. Detours, flagger controlled areas and minor delays can be expected. 

Tennyson from West 160th Avenue north to Colorado 7:  Area site work continues. Flagger control crossings can be expected. 

West 160th Avenue from Huron west to Lowell:  Street construction continues. Flaggers controlling east/west traffic can be expected.  

The Colorado Department of Transportation reports that southbound and northbound traffic on I-25 from Colorado 7 to 120th Avenue will be affected by paving operations.  Speed is reduced through the work zone to 55 mph.
