Gaiser, Kaverman set community meeting
for Ward 1 constituents on Feb. 18
Ward
1 City Councilmembers
Bob Gaiser and Steve
Kaverman are hosting a community meeting for their constituents on Saturday,
Feb. 18 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the lobby of the City and County Building. All
are welcome.
Topics for discussion include the pros and cons of “big box” developments,
parks and open spaces in
Broomfield, proposed
transportation system improvements including missing or incomplete roadway
links, and options to fund completion.
The
councilmembers also want to show constituents the areas in the city and county
where development is currently under way, talk about solid waste disposal and
recycling opportunities, and go over the 2006 priorities that City Council set
at its Feb. 4 Focus Session.
A
display showcasing the
Broomfield Event Center
will also be available for residents to see, and refreshments will be
available.
Ward
meetings offer an opportunity for citizens to meet and speak with their City
Council representatives one-on-one about current activities in
Broomfield,
and issues or concerns they may have.
