Broomfield
Workforce Center presents
hiring event for Home Depot
The Broomfield Workforce Center
invites job seekers to a special job fair targeted to those interested in
working for Home Depot. This one-day opportunity will take place on Thursday,
March 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Broomfield Workforce Center, 6650
W. 120th Avenue, Unit 1A (on the west end of the Villager Square Shopping
Center, 120th and Main Street).
Home
Depot outlets in Broomfield, Arvada, Thornton,
Louisville, Westminster, Longmont, Boulder and Brighton all have full-time and
part-time positions to fill, including Garden Associate, Freight Team Member,
Lot Associate and Cashier. With the number of openings currently available,
Home Depot turned to the Broomfield Workforce Center for assistance.
“Home Depot’s motto is, ‘You can
do it. We can help.’ Well, that’s our customer approach too,” said Frank
Schoengarth, director of the Broomfield Workforce Center. “We are committed
to helping employers hire people that fit the job and the company. When Home
Depot requested our assistance, we were happy to customize our services to
meet the company’s needs by staging this unique hiring event.”
Unlike
a regular job fair, candidates shouldn’t just arrive at the Broomfield
Workforce Center on March 28 with a résumé in hand. Instead, first visit
www.careers.homedepot.com and apply online. Then, when you arrive at the
special event, you can take the next step by talking with representatives from
Home Depot, learning more about the position for which you have applied.
“Keep
in mind that although the atmosphere may be casual, the recruiters you’ll be
talking with will be closely screening you,” advised Celia Hardin of the
Broomfield Workforce Center. “So be personable and ready to summarize your
skills in a noisy environment. The goal is to leave a clear impression of the
benefits you have to offer. If you’re prepared, you could walk out of our
office on March 28 with a great job offer from the world’s largest home
improvement retailer.”
