author to speak
The
Broomfield Workforce Center and Sun Microsystems are hosting a reprise
appearance of Donald J. Strankowski in a free seminar on Wednesday, May 3 from
5
to 8 p.m. at the
Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library,
3 Community Park Rd.
in Broomfield.
Strankowski, author of Get Hired! will talk about job search
strategies. He asserts that most conventional job search strategies are
simply not effective anymore. To be successful in today’s ultra-competitive
job market, one must employ new tools and new strategies for gaining notice
and getting hired.
The
Get Hired! author will provide the advice and strategies today’s job
seekers need to conduct a successful job search campaign, regardless of the
strength of the employment market.
In this high-content, interactive session, participants will learn: the
most effective job search methods--key
methods to increase hiring chances, how to create an
effective cover letter and resume combination
that position a jobseeker as an expert in his or her chosen work, gets read
and gets the jobseeker noticed; how to become distinguishable from the job
search masses by
employing new strategies
such as a V-Letter, Brag Book, and Job Business Plan; how to prepare for and
ace the interview
and win the job; and how to determine market value and
negotiate a top salary.
To
register, contact the

Workforce Center at 303. 464.5894.
