Sandoz employees kick off Volunteer Week in Broomfield’s ‘Adopt a Street’ program Employees at Sandoz, Inc. are volunteering for the City and County of Broomfield by adopting an area in the ‘Adopt-a-Park’ program, and will inaugurate the project during National Volunteer Week, April 24 to 30. Sandoz, a Novartis company, is a world leader in generic pharmaceuticals. The company, located on West Midway in the Atlas Industrial Park, develops, manufactures and markets these medicines as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnological active ingredients. The employees have chosen the landscaped areas along 136th Avenue, from Main Street to Sheridan Boulevard, as their adopted roadway. They will walk the area and pick up litter along the way. Sandoz employees are granted work time to volunteer. Contributions to the community like theirs save Broomfield taxpayers thousands of dollars each year, and add to Broomfield’s positive image. Anyone wishing to join Sandoz employees in volunteering for Broomfield can call 303.464.5876, or send an email to lshaffer@broomfield.org . Sandoz staff members gather around the sign that will claim the 136th Avenue area as theirs in Broomfield’s ‘Adopt-a-Park – Keep Broomfield Neat’ volunteer program.
